Unofficial Summary:
One of the events that Simmons has held annually is a fancy dinner for
Valentine\'s Day. I propose that we hold this event again, and am
requesting $4000 to throw it. This would likely be the first event put together
by the new Social Chair(s), but considering that the first housemeeting for next
term will probably be within a week of this event, I thought it was important
that they had the funds and approval for this event so planning could begin
during IAP. The $4000 is based on the budget from last year, which is at the
bottom of the proposal. Although we actually spent a few hundred less than the
proposed budget last year, I have increased our request to cover any increase in
costs that may exist. Obviously, this allocation would not expire at the end of
this semester because it will be used for an event for next semester.
